Mainly used in polyurethane sheet continuous production line, used as polystyrene foam and polyurethane foam.
Technical advantages of N-Pentane blowing agent
1. N-pentane has better dimensional stability than cyclopentane. After the sheet is formed, the sheet shrinkage in the thickness direction and width direction is less than that of cyclopentane foam.
2. The compression strength of N-Pentane blowing agent products in the thickness direction is higher than that of cyclopentane and HCFC-141b foam products, and the PIRI compression strength can reach 182kPa.
3. Under the condition of similar foam core density, the feed density of n-pentane foam formula is lower, which means that the foam cost tends to decrease under the condition of reducing the amount of materials, while the foam compression strength can reach the same or higher level.
4. Since HCFC-141b has strong polarity and hydrophilicity, n-pentane has weak polarity and lipophilicity, and isocyanate also has lipophilicity, n-pentane has better compatibility with isocyanate, and the high-pressure mixed emulsification effect in production is better. Therefore, the pores of the rigid foam foamed with n-pentane are uniform and delicate.
5. Through certain formula adjustment, the flame retardant properties of n-pentane foam products can reach or even exceed those of HCFC-141b foam products.
6. The thermal insulation performance of polyurethane rigid foam using n-pentane as a foaming agent can meet the requirements of thermal insulation performance of cold storage panels.
Blowing agents are critical to the molding and insulation of polyurethane foams, and thus product quality; they are also critical to our ability to protect the atmosphere and our impact on climate change.
