Preparation method of High purity Isobutane:
1. It exists in liquefied petroleum gas, natural gas, and cracked gas. The four fractions of carbon produced by petroleum cracking are separated.
2. Using industrial isobutane as raw material (content 82%~91%), a three-stage adsorption process is adopted. The first-stage adsorber removes impurities such as C2, C3, n-butane, 1-butene, etc., the second-stage adsorber removes isobutylene, and the third-stage adsorber further removes C2 and C3 hydrocarbon impurities. The product purity is greater than 99.99%.
3. Natural gas is obtained by adsorption or freezing with surfactants after fractionation.
High purity Isobutane application areas:
1. Alkylation reaction with isobutylene to produce isooctane, which is used as a gasoline octane improver. Isobutylene and propylene can be produced by cracking. Alkylation gasoline can be produced by alkylation reaction of n-butene and propylene. Methyl acrylic acid, acetone and methanol are produced. It can also be used as a refrigerant.
2. High purity Isobutane is mainly used as a standard gas and a special standard mixed gas.
3. It is used to synthesize isooctane as a gasoline octane improver, used to manufacture isobutylene, propylene, methacrylic acid, and used as a refrigerant.
