High-purity ethane product description:
Ethane is a colorless, flammable liquefied gas. The pressure of the liquefied bottled gas is its vapor pressure (37.02 kgf/cm2 @ 21.1°C). It is mainly used as etching gas, standard gas, calibration gas. Heat treatment in the metallurgical industry, preparation of ethylene, vinyl chloride, ethyl chloride, acetaldehyde, ethanol, ethylene glycol oxide, etc., fuel, refrigerant.
When ethane is used as a refrigerant, it is used in low-temperature refrigeration systems, also known as R170, Freon 170.
Precautions for high-purity ethane:
When ethane is transported in high-pressure seamless steel cylinders, the safety helmet on the cylinder must be worn. The cylinder is generally placed flat, and the bottle mouth should face the same direction and cannot be crossed; the height must not exceed the vehicle's guardrail, and it must be locked with a triangular wooden pad to prevent rolling. During transportation, the transport vehicle should be equipped with corresponding types and quantities of fire-fighting equipment. The exhaust pipe of the vehicle carrying the item must be equipped with a fire-retardant device, and it is prohibited to use mechanical equipment and tools that are prone to sparks for loading and unloading. It is strictly forbidden to mix and transport with oxidants, halogens, etc. In summer, it should be transported in the morning and evening to prevent exposure to sunlight. When stopping in the middle of the journey, it should be kept away from fire and heat sources. When transporting by road, it should be driven along the prescribed route and should not stop in residential areas and densely populated areas. It is forbidden to let go during railway transportation.
