Industrial use

1. Normal olefins or dodecene are used as feedstock to produce linear or branched alkylbenzenes.

2. Dodecene is used to manufacture dodecylphenol polyoxyethylene ether, dodecylphenol, sodium alkyl diphenyl ether disulfonate, etc.

3. Dodecene is used to produce detergents, surfactants, plasticizers, petroleum additives, and lubricant additives.

4. Dodecene is used to synthesize tetracosene.

5. Dodecene and hydrogen sulfide are directly synthesized into tert-dodecyl mercaptan.

6. Dodecene and maleic anhydride can produce T746 rust inhibitor.
