PCM-Phase Change Material N-Hexadecane

Physical and chemical properties:

White solid or colorless liquid. Melting point 18.2℃, boiling point 286.79, flash point 135℃, ignition point 202℃, density 0.7734g/cm3. Miscible with ether, petroleum ether and chloroform, slightly soluble in hot ethanol, insoluble in water.

Uses:

1. Used as phase change material, widely used in pharmaceutical cold chain logistics, phase change energy storage buildings, phase change microcapsules for textiles and temperature control of electronic components.

2. Used in organic synthesis.

3. Used as solvent, gas chromatography reference and stationary liquid.

4. Standard substance for determining diesel combustion quality. The cetane number of diesel is equal to the volume percentage of cetane contained in the standard fuel (a mixture of hexadecane and a-methylnaphthalene) when the combustion quality is the same as that of the diesel being evaluated under specified working conditions.

5.: Stone paper production, exterior wall coatings, rubber, plastics industry, also suitable for the production of special paper.

Application cases:

1. Aromatic microcapsules

Raw materials required for production: lavender essence, n-hexadecane, polymethyl methacrylate.

Use: Enhance the sustained release performance of the essence, prolong the fragrance retention time, and effectively solve the problem of essence loss during the processing and storage of scented products.

2. n-hexadecane polyurea microencapsulated phase change material

Raw materials required for production: polyurea coated microcapsules, n-hexadecane, water-soluble monomer diamine, toluene 2,4-diisocyanate

Use: phase change heat storage material.

3. 2-Hydroxy 4-hexadecyloxybenzophenone

Material required for production: 2,4 dihydroxybenzophenone, 1-bromohexadecane, potassium carbonate, benzyltriethylammonium chloride, nano silver iodide, nitrogen, etc.
